Mission 58 – Compassionate Response to Typhoon and Flood Victims

On October 21, 2024, a severe storm struck the Philippines, leaving devastating impacts across 13 regions and 29 provinces. This tragic event displaced over 300,000 individuals, deeply affecting communities, especially in Laguna, which was declared under a State of Calamity.

In response to this urgent need, Change the One stepped in with a caring commitment to support those affected. We distributed essential supplies including canned food, noodles, rice, and snacks to provide immediate relief for 150 individuals, alongside hot meals and fresh bread sourced from various locations in Los Baños. We also extended help to our nearby Town which is in Bay, Laguna.

Our outreach extended to nearby towns in Bay, Laguna, where we provided:

• Magnetic Hill, Jamboree Road, Los Baños, Laguna: Hot meals and bread for 120 individuals.
• Barangay Hall, San Antonio, Bay, Laguna: Noodles and bread for 80 individuals.
• Galvez Hall in Barangay San Antonio, Bay, Laguna: Noodles and bread for 30 individuals, along with biscuits and juice for 220 children.
• Sitio Riverside, Batong Malake, Los Baños, Laguna: Hot meals and bread for 60 individuals.
• Malacoco, Bayog, Los Baños, Laguna: Hot meals and bread for 60 individuals.

In total, we served 720 people with a heartfelt investment, reflecting our unwavering commitment to sharing compassion and care during these challenging times. Together, we can change lives and uplift our communities.
