Achievements – tour August 2023

In August of 2023 a group of 21 volunteers travelled to Vietnam to assist in many current missions at the time and also to inspect past achievements that had been done by Change the One. A brief summary of what was achieved was quite amazing due to the limited time and resources that were available.

• Inspection and tour of the proposed learning centre in Old Town Hoi An
• Three home renovations
• 40 push bikes to needy children
• five dairy cows to families living in desperate poverty.
• 31 quilts and 31 blankets – Cheryl Sidebottom
• 150 beanies and soft toys. These were supplied by two wonderful ladies and their knitters, Jo & Vicki – “Two Natural Ladies Groupies”
• six months supply of nappies and food to the special needs school
• 31 school backpacks
• 150 soft toys
• football gear for 200 children. Donated by Kevin Milstein and Deb of the Reagan Milstein foundation.
• clothing and food for two families we support
• Miss Tam, 24 years old and never off her bed due to severe disabilities
• Miss Truc, now nine years old and has two brothers and sisters all with disabilities
• Three laptops for students living In living in poverty but with advanced learning abilities.
• food and supplies for an 80 year old neighbour of Ms Tram (our Vietnam manager). Mrs Lee leaves on her own and cannot walk she slides around her home on her bottom
